About the position

The Employee Relations Manager at Intuitive will play a crucial role in the People Solutions team, focusing on providing guidance and support on HR compliance, performance issues, and employee relations matters. This position involves conducting investigations, partnering with the Legal team, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws. The role aims to enhance workplace culture and mitigate risks while promoting a diverse and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal investigations for workplace culture issues and misconduct in a timely manner.
  • Partner with the Legal team for issue escalation and training of HR team members in conducting thorough investigations.
  • Identify areas of opportunity for compliance education and training for managers and business leaders.
  • Contribute to various HR projects and guide project teams in adhering to data and process compliance.
  • Assist with audits of HR policies, job descriptions, and employee handbooks to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
  • Provide investigation case and issue trend data to reduce overall risk in the organization.
  • Conduct ER metrics and trend analysis with proactive recommendations on policies and programs.
  • Lead the evolution and improvement of the framework for managing internal allegations and claims.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Leaders and employment counsel on crucial employee relations matters.
  • Assist in the development and updating of ER processes/programs for the global organization.
  • Support M&A activities related to policy harmonization.
  • Manage ER cases, ensuring timely and thorough completion and tracking.
  • Advise and consult with HR and business leaders on position eliminations and policy interpretation.
  • Coach HR Business Leaders on interventions to prevent employee relations risks.
  • Facilitate trainings to build employee relations skills among HR community and managers.

Requirements

  • Expertise in employee relations investigations and a customer-first approach to work.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment and HR compliance.
  • Consultative, coaching, counseling, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Understanding of best practices regarding performance management and progressive discipline.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple projects with strong time management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage conflict and diffuse employee-related issues.
  • Strong decision-making and root cause analysis skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to interface and influence different levels of the organization.
  • Ability to assess sensitive employee relations issues in a confidential manner.
  • Ability to exercise judgment while balancing time constraints.
