You will also maintain accurate records related to employee relations activities, ensuring confidentiality and data privacy. Your expertise will be instrumental in tracking and resolving employee relations matters, preparing detailed documentation, and ensuring timely case resolution. The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility and maintain focus while managing changing demands and priorities. You will collaborate with HR business partners, legal counsel, and management to ensure consistency in addressing complex employee relations issues and mitigating risks to the organization. Additionally, you will develop and implement employee relations policies and training programs to promote a culture of respect and professionalism within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary contact to manage the performance management processes for both hourly and salaried employees, including coaching and counseling support.
  • Partner with leaders to develop and monitor the implementation of a performance improvement process with non-performing employees and review, guide, and approve management recommendations for employment terminations.
  • Advise and guide managers on disciplinary actions, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee complaints, allegations of misconduct or violations of company policies; recommend follow-up actions as necessary and ensure all appropriate next steps are followed.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact to investigate workplace issues and conflicts providing guidance, support, and resolution strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to employee relations activities, ensuring confidentiality and data privacy.
  • Collaborate with HR business partners, legal counsel, and management to ensure consistency and compliance in addressing complex employee relations issues and mitigate risk to the organization.
  • Develop and implement employee relations policies, procedures, and training programs to promote a culture of respect, fairness, and professionalism.
  • Train managers and supervisors on best practices for handling employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Stay updated on employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate potential liabilities.
  • Analyze trends and patterns in employee relations issues; identify areas for improvement, and recommend proactive measures to address root causes.

Requirements

  • 8 years of experience in employee relations, performance management, conflict resolution, and conducting investigations.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations with the ability to interpret and apply them in a practical manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day guidance.
  • Creative problem-solver with the ability to think strategically, analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Keen attention to detail, sound judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
