About the position

The Employee Relations Partner plays a crucial role in providing consistent and tactical Employee Relations consultation to both Managers and Employees. This position is primarily focused on resolving employee issues and advising on conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and terminations. The Employee Relations Partner will conduct thorough Human Resources (HR) investigations to ensure that all employee issues are addressed in compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Furthermore, they will manage the resolution process by offering recommendations to Operational Management and Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) as necessary. In addition to resolving issues, the Employee Relations Partner will analyze and interpret data to monitor employee relations trends. This proactive approach will aid Operations Management in addressing these trends effectively and preventively. The role also involves providing guidance and interpretation of policies and procedures to minimize the company's legal liability. The position is remote, allowing the Employee Relations Partner to work from home, but candidates must reside in the South Central region. Essential functions of the role include overseeing the daily administration of reported concerns within ServiceNow and Navex systems, conducting and participating in all phases of local HR investigations, and ensuring that investigations are fair, neutral, and timely. The Employee Relations Partner will also oversee employee relations matters, ensuring that supervisors and managers are equipped to handle conflict resolutions and disciplinary actions appropriately. Collaboration with Operational Management, Business HR, Labor Relations, and Legal Teams is essential to create solutions for complex Employee Relations issues. The role requires maintaining knowledge of legal requirements and employment legislation within the region, with occasional travel to company sites as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily administration of reported concerns within ServiceNow and Navex systems.
  • Conduct and participate in all phases of local HR investigations, developing investigation plans, and ensuring compliance with company policies and federal/state regulations.
  • Provide guidance and interpretation of policies and procedures to minimize legal liability.
  • Partner with Operational Management, Business HR, Labor Relations, and Legal Teams to create solutions to complex Employee Relations issues.
  • Ensure high-quality Human Resources support through performance management and compliance with union Collective Bargaining Agreements.
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and employment legislation within the region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational management, law, or equivalent required.
  • Five (5) years or more in HR compliance, HR generalist, or employee relations required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite at an intermediate level required.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations at an intermediate level required.
