About the position

The Employee Relations Partner at Ryder System is a pivotal role that focuses on providing tactical Employee Relations consultation to both Managers and Employees. This position is designed to resolve employee issues effectively and to advise on matters related to employee conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and terminations. The Employee Relations Partner will conduct thorough Human Resources (HR) investigations to ensure that all employee issues are addressed in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations. This role also involves analyzing and interpreting data to monitor employee relations trends, which aids Operations Management in proactively addressing these trends to minimize potential issues. Furthermore, the Employee Relations Partner will provide guidance and interpretation of policies and procedures to mitigate the company's legal liability. In this remote position, the Employee Relations Partner will oversee the daily administration of reported concerns within the ServiceNow and Navex systems. They will conduct and participate in all phases of local HR investigations, developing investigation plans, and ensuring that investigations are conducted fairly, neutrally, and in a timely manner. The role requires collaboration with Operational Management, Business HR, Labor Relations, and Legal Teams to create solutions for complex Employee Relations challenges. The Employee Relations Partner will also ensure the delivery of high-quality HR support through performance management, risk mitigation in legal compliance, and effective communication with employees, while also adhering to relevant clauses within union Collective Bargaining Agreements where applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily administration of reported concerns within ServiceNow and Navex systems.
  • Conduct and participate in all phases of local HR investigations, developing investigation plans, and ensuring compliance with company policies and federal/state regulations.
  • Provide guidance and interpretation of policies and procedures to minimize legal liability.
  • Partner with Operational Management, Business HR, Labor Relations, and Legal Teams to create solutions for complex Employee Relations issues.
  • Ensure high-quality Human Resources support through performance management and employee communication.
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and employment legislation within the region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational management, law, or equivalent major; or additional four (4) years of required experience.
  • Five (5) years or more in HR compliance, HR generalist, or employee relations experience required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite at an intermediate level required.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations at an intermediate level required.
