About the position

The Employee Relations Partner is a pivotal role within the organization, tasked with providing consistent and tactical Employee Relations consultation to both Managers and Employees. This position is essential for resolving employee issues and advising on matters related to employee conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and terminations. The Employee Relations Partner will conduct thorough Human Resources (HR) investigations to ensure that all employee issues are addressed in compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Furthermore, they will manage the resolution process by providing actionable recommendations to Operational Management and Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) as necessary. In addition to resolving individual employee issues, the Employee Relations Partner will analyze and interpret data to monitor employee relations trends. This proactive approach will aid Operations Management in addressing these trends effectively, thereby minimizing potential conflicts and enhancing workplace harmony. The role also involves providing guidance and interpretation of policies and procedures to mitigate the company's legal liability, ensuring that all actions taken are in line with best practices and legal standards. The position is fully remote, allowing the Employee Relations Partner to work from home, although candidates must reside in the Southeast Region. This flexibility is complemented by the expectation of overseeing daily administration of reported concerns within ServiceNow and Navex systems, conducting and participating in all phases of local HR investigations, and ensuring that all investigations are fair, neutral, and timely. The Employee Relations Partner will also collaborate with various teams, including Operational Management, Business HR, Labor Relations, and Legal Teams, to devise solutions for complex Employee Relations challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily administration of reported concerns within ServiceNow and Navex systems.
  • Conduct and participate in all phases of local HR investigations, developing investigation plans, and ensuring compliance with company policies and federal/state regulations.
  • Provide policy interpretation for supervisors and managers regarding employee conflict resolutions, disciplinary actions, and termination guidance.
  • Partner with Operational Management, Business HR, Labor Relations, and Legal Teams to create solutions to complex Employee Relations issues.
  • Ensure high-quality Human Resources support through performance management and compliance with union Collective Bargaining Agreements as applicable.
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and employment legislation within the region.
  • Travel as needed to company sites within the supported region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational management, law, or equivalent major; or additional four (4) years of required experience.
  • Five (5) years or more in HR compliance, HR generalist, or employee relations experience required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite at an intermediate level required.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations at an intermediate level required.
