About the position

The Employee Relations Partner at AdventHealth is responsible for managing the employee relations function within assigned facilities. This role involves consulting on employee relations issues, facilitating initiatives to promote a positive work environment, conducting investigations into employee concerns, and providing data-driven recommendations for solutions. The position emphasizes professionalism and respect in interactions with both employees and leadership, aligning with the organization's mission to uplift individuals in body, mind, and spirit.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct investigations into employee relations concerns including harassment, discrimination, workplace misconduct, and policy violations.
  • Provide resolution options in employee relations investigations, including corrective actions and performance improvement plans.
  • Partner with business leaders to maintain a positive employee relations climate through consultation on conflict resolution and best practices.
  • Respond effectively and timely to employee relations queries in accordance with established Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Analyze data to identify patterns and trends, recommending employee relations programs and initiatives.
  • Provide training and support to business leaders on policies and procedures related to employee relations.
  • Lead unemployment compensation hearings and provide guidance to business leaders.
  • Facilitate workplace and religious accommodations and the interactive process.
  • Process unpaid administrative leaves as necessary.
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements affecting human resources functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5 years of experience in employee relations or a similar HR role.

Nice-to-haves

  • Diversified experience in the human resources field or in a generalist role.
  • Three years' experience in a customer service environment related to human resources.
  • Knowledge of compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and healthcare regulations.
  • Data and Analytics skills to interpret human resources data.
  • Mediation skills and ability to influence consensus.
