About the position

The Employee Relations Partner at Covetrus North America LLC is responsible for leading employee relations initiatives, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and policies, and enhancing the employee experience. This role involves providing consultation to HR, conducting workplace investigations, and developing training materials, all while promoting fairness and mitigating risks within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provides consultation and support to the Human Resources function on HR and Employee Relations topics including performance management and policy interpretation.
  • Conducts workplace investigations and resolves complaints, ensuring thorough and objective recommendations are developed.
  • Interprets and applies federal and state laws regarding equal access for people with disabilities.
  • Receives and processes accommodation requests and provides guidance to leadership on disability-related issues.
  • Develops training and materials specific to investigations and other employment matters.
  • Delivers training and materials for manager development.
  • Manages data collection and communication process with vendor for AAP/EEO-1 Program Compliance.
  • Advises HR team and managers in developing documentation to support performance management processes.
  • Supports communication and change efforts with HR, Legal, Managers, and Employees.
  • Assists with the execution of HR compliance programs and audits.
  • Selects materials to aid skill building for managers.
  • Collaborates with HR team to maintain accurate internal process documentation.

Requirements

  • 6-8+ years of HR experience with 4+ years in Employee Relations.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field strongly preferred.
  • Master's degree in Human Resources or related field a plus.
  • SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems, preferably Workday.

  • Experience managing highly confidential information and complex situations with discretion and sensitivity.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and trends.
