About the position

The Employee Relations Senior Advisor will lead the adaptation, implementation, and management of the Employee Relations and HR legal compliance practices within the PS&S (People Strategy & Services) division. This involves managing all employee relations issues; being the primary Point of Contact for conducting or facilitating Employee Relations reviews and investigations; reviewing, drafting, editing, and finalizing HR policies, procedures, and protocols; developing Standard Operating Procedures for the area; and identifying tools to streamline and automate manual processes. The position will report to the Chief People Officer (CPO).

Responsibilities

  • Manage or facilitate all Employee Relations issues, reviews, and investigations.
  • Incorporate current, best in class Employee Relations and HR compliance strategies appropriate for PCORI.
  • Utilize project management approaches, tools, templates, and resources to keep the Employee Relations and HR project on track.
  • Provide regular updates to the CPO and broader PS&S team.
  • Train the HR Business Partners on developed Employee Relations processes, practices, protocols, and tools.
  • Assess how systems can enhance tracking, automate processes, and improve efficiencies.
  • Liaison between PS&S and the Office of the General Counsel regarding Employee Relations matters.
  • Attend department and division leader meetings and support broader PS&S projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Wide breadth of HR knowledge, experience, and expertise in Employee Relations Management and Performance Management.
  • Effective advisory, presentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong project management and analytical skills.
  • Attention to details, sound judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to synthesize and summarize information and situations succinctly.
  • Ability to analyze, problem solve, and clearly communicate observations and recommendations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and communicate at all levels of the organization.

Nice-to-haves

  • 10+ years of experience in Human Resources Management, HR Business Partnering, Employee Relations, Performance Management, and Project Management.
  • Previous ombudsman experience.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Asana.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
