About the position

The Employee Relations Specialist 1 position at Grifols is focused on applying Human Resources partnering skills within a high-volume call center environment, specifically emphasizing Employee Relations case management. The role involves managing and resolving a range of Employee Relations issues and investigations, providing early intervention and support, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Responds to, investigates, and provides recommendations to resolve employee relations concerns reported to the Employee Relations Service Center, Grifols Ethics Hotline, or other means.
  • Documents all activity, advice, resolution, and prepares investigative reports while maintaining discretion and confidentiality.
  • Coaches and advises managers on employee relations best practices, policies, programs, and processes.
  • Ensures compliance with state and federal laws as well as company policy.
  • Educates and trains HR staff and front-line management on Employee Relations policies and procedures.
  • Works with the Legal department to respond to EEOC, DOL, and other legal claims.
  • Responds to unemployment claims for all Grifols' companies.
  • Creates and delivers training on employee relations issues, compliance policies, and related administrative procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field.
  • 1 - 5 years of HR experience, including handling employee relations issues.
  • PHR Certification preferred.
