The Employee Relations Specialist is responsible for providing Employee Relations (ER) support to managers and team members including administering employment policies and practices, researching and/or investigating team member concerns, and making recommendations that effectively promote positive employee relations. The Employee Relations Specialist will address workplace conflicts, disputes, and grievances by investigating issues, mediating discussions, and finding resolutions that align with company policies and legal regulations. This role involves conducting investigations into claims of harassment, discrimination, or other misconduct, maintaining confidentiality and impartiality throughout the process. The specialist will also deliver training programs for managers and employees on topics related to employee relations, conflict resolution, and company policies. Additionally, analyzing employee relations trends and data to identify areas for improvement, proactively addressing potential issues, and recommending strategies for enhancing employee satisfaction and retention are key responsibilities. Collaboration with HR teams, management, legal counsel, and other stakeholders is essential to ensure consistency in employee relations practices and policies. Maintaining accurate records of investigations, complaints, and resolutions while ensuring compliance with confidentiality and privacy regulations is also a critical part of the role. The specialist will provide guidance to managers and supervisors on employee-related matters, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies and procedures, and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement, morale, and a positive workplace culture. Lastly, drafting clear and comprehensive organizational policies involves researching relevant regulations and collaborating with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years Human Resources experience, such as HR Generalist/HR Business Partner is required.
  • Professional Human Resource Certification, preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of state and federal employment laws, safety practices and procedures, and employee relations principles.
  • A positive can-do attitude.
