About the position

The Employee Relations Specialist position is a full-time role based in Orlando, Florida, focused on enhancing employee relations within a major organization. The specialist will report directly to the Employee Relations Manager and will play a crucial role in coaching management, managing employee counseling, and resolving conflicts, all while supporting a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching and advice to all management levels on employee relations.
• Manage and oversee employee counseling, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
• Handle involuntary terminations and conduct exit interviews.
• Mediate and resolve conflicts, ensuring thorough and objective investigations into sensitive issues such as harassment and discrimination.
• Liaise with legal teams during depositions and settlements.
• Participate in policy development and periodic HR audits.
• Support the HR team on various projects to enhance workplace and employee experience.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in employee relations and conflict management.
• Extensive HR/ER experience in the retail or hospitality industry.
• Experience with ADP HRIS, Payroll systems, or similar platforms.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage sensitive issues.
• Associate's degree preferred.
