About the position

The Employee Relations Specialist at Allina Health is responsible for providing guidance on a wide range of employee relations matters, ensuring fairness and legal compliance. This role involves conducting workplace investigations, coaching leaders and employees, and managing employee relations systems. The specialist will work closely with various departments to support employee relations administration and contribute to a positive workplace environment.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate concerns brought to Employee Relations through various channels.
  • Coach leaders and employees on performance and behavior matters according to company policies.
  • Guide leaders through the progressive discipline process, ensuring documentation consistency.
  • Oversee case volumes and record case notes within multiple HRIS systems.
  • Build strong relationships with Labor Relations, Legal, and Human Resources Business Partners.
  • Participate in projects and cross-team initiatives as requested.
  • Support the management of Employee Relations systems such as ServiceNow and LaborSoft.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business or related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in Employee Relations or Human Resources, preferably in healthcare and/or a union environment.
  • Experience working with ServiceNow, LaborSoft, and ADP systems preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a union environment.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems.
