About the position

The Employee Relations Specialist at Children's Mercy plays a crucial role in fostering an inclusive and engaging employment culture that aligns with the hospital's values. This position is responsible for delivering employee relations services, advising on compliance and policy interpretation, and ensuring a supportive work environment that promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion. The specialist will work closely with the Employee Relations team and the broader HR team to address employee needs and maintain a positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert on Accommodations and CM's Accommodation Process.
• Act as the initial point of contact for the Employee Relations Team and triage incoming requests.
• Advise and ensure consistency with the corrective action process for compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
• 1-2 years of HR Generalist experience, with a preference for Employee Relations experience.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
