About the position

The Behavioral Health Employee Relations Specialist at Elara Caring is responsible for leading HR functions and initiatives within their assigned territory. This role serves as a strategic advisor to leadership and a trusted resource for employees, focusing on conflict resolution and employee relations to foster a positive work environment. The position supports the HR strategy aligned with Elara Caring's mission of delivering high-quality, home-based care, and offers a hybrid work model with both remote and on-site responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to branch management by providing HR guidance and assisting with onboarding.
  • Handle a range of employee relations issues, including performance concerns, interpersonal conflicts, and disciplinary actions.
  • Utilize mediation and conflict resolution strategies to address and resolve issues between employees and management.
  • Provide coaching and support for career development, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Lead and implement engagement programs to enhance team morale and engagement.
  • Offer policy interpretation and ensure adherence to state, CMS, and accreditation standards.
  • Collaborate with HRD and operational leaders to analyze HR trends and metrics for improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure exceptional service delivery by coordinating with HR Service Centers, Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits, and Payroll.
  • Address employee and manager concerns proactively to promote a positive employee experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is highly preferred OR a High School Diploma with 2-5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws, employee relations practices, and HR Management Systems (Workday preferred).
  • Expertise in conflict resolution, performance management, and coaching.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
