About the position

The Employee Relations Specialist at Fuyao Glass America Inc. serves as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, acting as a liaison between employees, management, and Human Resources. This role is crucial in promoting a positive work environment, addressing employee concerns, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily, face-to-face employee relations support to designated Production customers (management and employees).
  • Field employee complaints or concerns, as well as requests for information, guidance, and counseling.
  • Provide timely follow-up for resolution of employee concerns or requests.
  • Serve as the focal point of contact for daily employee call in/call off and update the system accordingly.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and escalate complex cases to the Legal Team.
  • Recommend solutions or appropriate courses of action for workplace issues in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
  • Prepare reports on the types and frequency of actions taken.
  • Review company policy and provide timely advice and support to management on progressive discipline or termination matters.
  • Administer final paperwork and conduct exit interviews for terminations.
  • Collaborate with internal HR and Legal support functions as needed.
  • Facilitate employee relations training and development as needed.
  • Stay informed of legal and regulatory requirements relevant to the organization.
  • Contribute to employee relations best practice education and policy development.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of Human Resources or Employee Relations experience in a diverse, fast-paced work environment.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably with an emphasis in Human Resources Management or Labor Relations.
  • Fluency in both English and Mandarin is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and listening skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent follow-up skills.
