About the position

As an Employee Relations Specialist at Pluralsight, you will leverage your experience and judgment to address and resolve complex People Operations inquiries. This role is essential in providing timely and knowledgeable support to team members and leaders globally, while collaborating with various stakeholders including Business Partners and Legal. You will be a key member of the People Business Partner team, reporting to the Sr. Director, People Business Partners, and will focus on advising leaders on performance management, handling grievances, and ensuring compliance with employment regulations.

Responsibilities

• Advise leaders on effective performance management practices, including career path conversations and performance improvement plans.
• Provide values-aligned responses to non-routine People Ops inquiries, applying discretion to interpret and resolve issues.
• Audit probationary periods and provide guidance on process requirements.
• Investigate grievance reports and collaborate with Legal/Compliance and HRBP teams for fair resolutions.
• Stay updated on global employment regulations to ensure compliance with People practices.
• Collaborate with People and Legal teams on policy and process design.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Employee Relations or People Operations, or 3+ years with an advanced degree.
• Bachelor's degree in HR management or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• In-depth knowledge of US HR laws and processes, with a commitment to staying current with regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with global HR laws and processes, especially in EMEA.
• Experience with Workday and Google Suite.
