About the position

Rally House is seeking an Employee Relations Specialist to join our growing team. This full-time position is based in Lenexa, KS, and offers a competitive salary ranging from $55,000 to $70,000 annually. As a specialty retail store that emphasizes local products, we are expanding rapidly with over 180 stores nationwide and more on the horizon. The Employee Relations Specialist will work closely with the Employee Relations Manager to support team member performance management through various processes and tools. This role is crucial in maintaining the day-to-day operations of the Employee Relations department, ensuring that all activities are conducted efficiently and effectively. In this position, you will be responsible for providing innovative and non-traditional ideas to improve processes within the Employee Relations and Team Experience department. You will support the administration of Employee Relations activities, including reviewing corrective actions, performance improvement plans, and individual development plans. Additionally, you will assist with the Quarterly Talent Review process, focusing on succession planning and bench development planning. The role also involves maintaining the Predictive Index administration and leveraging it to facilitate development conversations among leaders. The Employee Relations Specialist will identify opportunities to simplify and streamline processes, particularly within the HRIS System, and will produce and submit reports related to Employee Relations and Performance Management activities. You will develop training and educational materials for leaders as needed and assist in responding to employee relations claims and investigations. Furthermore, you will play a role in the Exit Interview and offboarding process, as well as maintaining company policies in the employee handbook.

Responsibilities

  • Supports day-to-day administration of Employee Relations related activities including reviewing corrective actions and performance improvement plans.
  • Assists with the Quarterly Talent Review process, including succession planning and bench development planning.
  • Maintains the Predictive Index administration and leverages it to support leaders in development conversations.
  • Identifies opportunities to simplify and streamline processes for continuous improvement, particularly in the HRIS System.
  • Produces and submits reports for Employee Relations/Performance Management related activity.
  • Develops training and education for leaders as needed.
  • Assists in timely responses to employee relations claims and supports investigations as needed.
  • Assists in the Exit Interview and offboarding process.
  • Maintains policies in the company handbooks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, leadership, or a similar related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist or Employee Relations role.
  • Experience in Learning and Development or leadership development is a plus.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent project management and prioritization skills.
  • Knowledge of Workday.
