In this role, the Employee Relations Specialist will act as a point of contact for employees, addressing their concerns, grievances, and workplace issues. The specialist will mediate disputes between employees and management, ensuring that conflicts are resolved in a fair and timely manner. It is essential for the specialist to ensure that company policies are consistently applied and adhered to across the organization, maintaining a level of integrity and fairness in all employee relations matters. The Employee Relations Specialist will conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee complaints and allegations of misconduct, staying updated on employment laws and regulations to ensure that company practices remain compliant. Additionally, the specialist will maintain accurate records of employee relations cases and outcomes, promoting initiatives that enhance employee engagement and satisfaction. This role is vital in creating a supportive and inclusive workplace where all employees feel valued and heard.

Responsibilities

• Act as a point of contact for employees to address concerns, grievances, and workplace issues.
• Mediate disputes between employees and/or management to resolve conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
• Ensure company policies are consistently applied and adhered to across the organization.
• Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee complaints and allegations of misconduct.
• Stay updated on employment laws and regulations to ensure company practices are compliant.
• Maintain accurate records of employee relations cases and outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Employee Relations role, or equivalent.
• Strong familiarity with California laws and regulations, specifically within the workspace.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Experience working within a healthcare organization.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree or any higher-level education.
• Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
