About the position

The Employer Relations Associate/Sr. Associate is a vital member of the Career Development and Employer Relations team at Hult International Business School, located in San Francisco. This on-campus position is designed for an individual who is passionate about connecting students with employment opportunities and fostering relationships with local and regional employers. The primary goal of this role is to source full-time and internship roles for students while creating avenues for engagement with alumni and corporate contacts. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Career Development and Employer Relations team to develop and implement various career events and activities, both on and off campus, that support students in their career advancement. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding the local and regional job market, as Hult emphasizes that the city is an extension of the campus. You will actively participate in networking events to generate leads for new employer partnerships and curate off-campus events that provide networking opportunities for students. Additionally, you will oversee the Handshake platform, ensuring efficient job posting processes and conducting analyses to enhance job matching and employer satisfaction. Building and maintaining a robust employer pipeline using CRM tools will be essential for tracking and managing employer interactions. The position also involves partnering with student clubs and professional organizations to co-brand events, overseeing employer events, and collaborating with the Career Development team to secure alumni and corporate contacts for industry panels. You will be expected to market events and job opportunities through various channels, including social media and newsletters, and manage student workers or interns to support event execution. The role is results-oriented, with specific performance targets related to job placements and event organization, making it crucial for the candidate to be proactive and effective in their networking and relationship-building efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute on-campus employer programs to support student job and internship success.
  • Source employment opportunities from employer and alumni partners and promote opportunities to students.
  • Actively participate and network at local external events generating leads to new employer partners.
  • Connect with local alumni and develop opportunities for students to engage with alumni in on-campus and off-campus activities.
  • Curate relevant off-campus events to offer networking opportunities for Hult students.
  • Escort students to key events and introduce them to the art of networking.
  • Oversee the Handshake platform, ensuring efficient job posting processes and conducting regular analysis to track and enhance job matching, student engagement, and employer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain a robust employer pipeline by utilizing CRM tools to record, track, and manage employer interactions.
  • Partner with student clubs and professional organizations on co-branded events.
  • Oversee employer events on and off campus, including arranging company visits.
  • Lead the execution of events with the support of campus colleagues.
  • Partner with the Career Development team to secure alumni and corporate contacts for at least 10 industry panels.
  • Market events and job opportunities via social media, newsletters, and campus channels.
  • Serve on the Campus Task Force for Corporate Business Challenges, bringing insight and support in connecting with potential corporate partners.
  • Manage student workers/interns to support the development, promotion, and execution of employer and alumni career events and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with peers in Employer Relations across campuses to share best practices and source opportunities across regions for students.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum two years of experience in relationship management, business development, or college/university employer relations.
  • Experience with college recruiting from an employer's perspective preferred.
  • Keen interest in understanding and communicating regional employment opportunities.
  • Strong sense of local, regional, and global business and related hiring trends.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across diverse cultures.
  • Effective at building relationships, influencing others, and working collaboratively across teams.
  • Experience with Handshake or other job posting platforms, databases and CRMs (Salesforce), event management platforms, social media content design and editing tools.
  • Experience in marketing, negotiation, and strategic planning.
  • Results oriented.
  • Flexibility to work during non-traditional work hours (some evenings and/or weekends).
  • Belief in and desire to participate in the Hult mission for educating, inspiring, and empowering students.
