About the position

The Division Manager for Workforce Services at Contra Costa County is responsible for overseeing operations and policy for various benefit programs including CalFresh, CalWORKs, Welfare-to-Work, and Medi-Cal. This role involves managing supervisory staff and program analysts to ensure effective eligibility facilitation and policy dissemination, while upholding the department's commitment to exceptional customer service and community support.

Responsibilities

  • Manage operations and policy for CalFresh, CalWORKs, Welfare-to-Work, and Medi-Cal benefit programs.
  • Oversee supervisory staff and program analysts to facilitate eligibility and policy dissemination.
  • Work cooperatively with stakeholders to ensure program compliance with regulations.
  • Foster a culture of trust and accountability within the team.
  • Drive the future vision of the Workforce Services Bureau.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Public Administration, Social or Behavioral Sciences, or a closely related field.
  • Five years of full-time experience in a professional administrative position in social services, with two years at a supervisory or management level.
  • Strong customer service skills and experience in data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and strategic planning skills.

Benefits
