About the position

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) is seeking a dedicated Human Resource Specialist focused on Employee Development and Diversity, Equity, Belonging, and Inclusion (DEBI). This role involves leading initiatives to enhance the agency's workforce and culture, ensuring fairness and transparency in the gaming industry. The specialist will work closely with various directors to integrate DEBI principles into the agency's policies and programs, while also providing training and development opportunities for staff.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the employee development specialist and lead for DEBI efforts within the PGCB.
  • Develop, administer, and direct training programs for all levels of board staff.
  • Promote skills such as communication, conflict management, emotional intelligence, and leadership development.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training courses and apply best practices in training and learning.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Diversity and other HR specialists on recruitment and community outreach.

Requirements

  • Four years as a PGCB Human Resource Assistant; or
  • Two years of experience in professional human resource duties and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
