The Employment and Human Resources Specialist at Goodwill of Lane & South Coast Counties & Alaska plays a crucial role in providing vocational opportunities and support to individuals facing barriers to employment. This position involves working collaboratively with a team to deliver employment-related education, guidance, and training, ensuring participants are well-prepared to secure and maintain employment. The specialist will also engage in community outreach and case management to facilitate successful job placements.

Responsibilities

• Provide employment-related education, support, and guidance to individuals in Workforce Development programs.
• Assist participants with job application development, resume writing, and interview skills.
• Conduct orientation and enrollment activities for program participants.
• Refer individuals to community resources to help overcome employment barriers.
• Track participation and progress of individuals, maintaining accurate records and confidentiality.
• Document program outcomes, including participant training and job placements.
• Understand local employer needs and match job seekers with suitable opportunities.
• Coordinate recruitment processes with hiring managers, from job posting to onboarding.
• Gather and enter new hire information into the HRIS database.

Requirements

• Two years of related experience in rehabilitation, social work, human resources, or business.
• High school diploma or GED; some college preferred.
• Valid Alaska driver's license and insurable driving record.
• Strong technical office skills, including proficiency in MS Office and database management systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to write reports and business correspondence.
