About the position

The Employment Services Manager at Fedcap Inc. is responsible for overseeing the Career Services Youth Pathways team, which includes managing staff such as Career Advisors and Job Developers. This role focuses on ensuring job readiness, facilitating successful job placements, and maintaining relationships with local companies to meet hiring needs. The manager will also develop strategic plans for business development and monitor employment retention milestones.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day supervision and management of job readiness, Alternative Engagement, job development, and retention staff.
  • Develop and maintain a strategic plan for job readiness, Alternative Engagement, Business Development, job placement, and retention.
  • Set clear goals for Job/Business Developers, Career Advisors, and other staff to ensure effective service delivery and meet contractual goals.
  • Establish best practices across departments to meet enrollment and job placement goals.
  • Monitor compliance and performance of all direct reports.
  • Coordinate job development services by prioritizing and outlining Business Development methods.
  • Develop strategies to increase job placement and quality of placements.
  • Ensure coordination of monthly hiring events that match job-ready candidates with local companies.
  • Evaluate staff performance through formal and informal evaluations.
  • Identify staff training needs and ensure appropriate training is provided.
  • Ensure compliance with NYC HRA terms and conditions.
  • Prepare and submit required statistical data and reports accurately and timely.
  • Hire, supervise, evaluate, develop, and terminate assigned staff to maintain productivity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human services, Education, or a similar field or comparable work-related experience.
  • 2 years of supervisory/management experience preferably in workforce development.
  • Experience working with economically disadvantaged, homeless, and/or public assistance recipients' populations.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a team environment.
