About the position

The Employment Services Program Manager at Cultivate Initiatives is responsible for overseeing workforce development programs aimed at empowering individuals and communities. This role involves providing leadership and support to staff, ensuring program efficiency, and fostering a collaborative work environment. The Program Manager will also be accountable for managing a diverse team, implementing program structures, and maintaining positive relationships with program participants and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, support, and positive role modeling for Workforce staff.
  • Promote a team environment where efficacy, responsibility, and safety are paramount.
  • Assist with program design, implementation, and evaluation to increase access to and efficiency of the program.
  • Coordinate and provide coverage for Employment Specialists when they are absent.
  • Empower staff to take initiative, problem solve, and maintain a safe space.
  • Assist in developing and implementing program structure including on-the-job training and guidance for interns and staff.
  • Ensure programs empower staff and participants to attain self-determination and stability.
  • Assist with preparing budgets and overseeing expenditures for the program.
  • Complete staff check-ins and performance evaluations to set goals and address performance concerns.
  • Work collaboratively with Employment Specialists and Intern Coordinator for data collection and reporting.
  • Maintain positive relationships with program participants, volunteers, and co-workers.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of previous work experience in a supervisory/managerial position or 3 years in workforce development.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse group of people with different learning styles.
  • Proof of Driver's License is required.
  • Ability to prepare reports and proposals, and present them verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to meet contractual obligations and function as part of a management team.
  • Understanding of project management systems like Six Sigma; yellow belt certification preferred but willingness to acquire it is required.
  • Excellent computer skills, including word processing, database, calendar, spreadsheet, and remote meeting software.
