About the position

The Employment Specialist at BHcare Inc. is responsible for supporting individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders in obtaining and maintaining competitive employment. This role involves providing vocational counseling, career exploration, and on-the-job training, while ensuring adherence to contractual guidelines and quality management standards. The specialist will work closely with clients to help them achieve their employment goals and participate actively as a member of the Employment Team.

Responsibilities

• Provide vocational counseling and career exploration for persons in recovery.
• Develop job sites in accordance with individual needs.
• Provide on-the-job training and support services.
• Conduct career planning classes and vocational groups as needed.
• Provide direct service in accordance with contractual guidelines.
• Maintain records in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Produce reports as assigned and meet established outcome measures.
• Attend training sessions, workshops, and seminars as required for professional development.
• Use own vehicle for company business or to transport clients.
• Participate as a member of the Employment Team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred; or Associate's degree with 2 years of experience in behavioral health; or high school diploma with 4 years of experience in behavioral health.
• RSS Certification or comparable Mental Health Certification required.
• Ability to complete required training for the position.
• Knowledge of Psychiatric Rehabilitation is desirable.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and electronic health records system (EHR).
