About the position

The EMS Outreach Coordinator is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Williamson County Emergency Medical Services (WCEMS) Community Outreach Program. This includes overseeing the American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Training Center, coordinating outreach classes, public education events, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The role involves supervising staff and volunteers, managing program documentation, and developing strategies to enhance cardiovascular care in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the WCEMS Community Outreach Program.
  • Coordinate scheduling and marketing of Outreach Program classes and public education events.
  • Ensure complete documentation for program initiatives and provide metrics to leadership.
  • Oversee the Public Access Defibrillation Program in compliance with regulations.
  • Participate in delivering programs to the public and organizations.
  • Supervise, recruit, and train staff, volunteers, and instructors; evaluate performance and productivity.
  • Perform instructor duties at EMS education shift tracks and new member academy.
  • Prepare and deliver invoices for fee-based programs and ensure proper documentation of payments.
  • Assist in developing and implementing plans to improve BLS cardiovascular care.
  • Develop budgetary needs for Outreach Education Programs.
  • Attend required meetings and trainings.
  • Perform special duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate degree and two years of public outreach education experience, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and iOS devices.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider certification.
  • AHA BLS Instructor certification.
  • Texas State Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) EMT certification required within 30 days of employment.
  • Valid driver's license required within one year of employment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in EMS, Education, or related field.
  • TDSHS Paramedic certification or licensure.
  • Child Passenger Safety Technician certification.

  • Full-time position with a salary range of $58,725.19 - $67,533.97 per year.
