About the position

The EMS Training Manager is responsible for overseeing the training and onboarding of new paramedic employees, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and maintaining training records for audits. This role requires a licensed paramedic with EMS experience and involves both administrative duties and hands-on training responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Onboarding and orientation of new employees
  • Working with QA staff to remediate individuals with QA issues
  • Holding training sessions for employees as needed
  • Maintaining training records of employees for state audit
  • Willingness to work shifts on the ambulance as needed, balancing on-truck and off-truck time.

Requirements

  • Must be a licensed Paramedic in the state of Tennessee
  • Ventilator Certified or Critical Care Paramedic certification required within 3-6 months of hire
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Paramedic
  • TN State Instructor/Coordinator preferred
  • 4-year degree preferred
  • Minimum of AHA BLS Instructor certification, prefer ACLS and PALS Instructor certifications
  • Prefer additional instructor certifications such as NAEMT.
