About the position

The EMS Training Officer is responsible for overseeing the training and development of EMS personnel, ensuring compliance with EMS standards of practice, and maintaining high-quality patient care. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the training and development of EMS personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with EMS standards of practice.
  • Write and maintain patient care reports.
  • Provide care to pediatric and adult populations in transfer situations.
  • Conduct training sessions for BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary for effective patient care.
  • Maintain instructor status in CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Requirements

  • Valid Paramedic certification and EMS training background.
  • AHA HCP CPR and ACLS certifications preferred.
  • Significant experience writing patient care reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Minimum of two years of management/supervisory experience.
  • Proficient in Excel and Word.

Nice-to-haves

  • Emergency Vehicle Driving Safety Course preferred.
  • Instructor level in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and other certifications as requested.
