About the position
The EMT Apprentice Program is a paid apprenticeship designed to educate candidates and prepare them for the National Registry Exam to become licensed EMTs. This accelerated program lasts for 6 weeks, with classes held Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, and includes clinical and ride time hours. Students will receive payment while attending classes and can be hired by affiliated companies upon successful completion of the exam.
Responsibilities
- Attend and participate in all classes from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
- Complete clinical and ride time hours as part of the training program.
- Prepare for and successfully complete the National Registry Exam to become a licensed EMT.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Hold a valid Ohio Driver's License.
- Possess a High School diploma or GED.
- Complete the pre-entrance examination prior to the interview.
- Provide a Personal Health History, Immunization record, and Physician Physical Exam.
- Pass a 10 Panel Urine Toxicology Screen with negative results.
- Successfully pass a background check.
