About The Position
As a Patient Care Technician (EMT-B) at ConvenientMD, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the healthcare experience for patients in New England. Our mission is to make good health more convenient for everyone, and we are looking for dedicated professionals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others. In this position, you will be responsible for patient triage, which includes taking vital signs, gathering medical history, and conducting observational examinations. You will assist with various patient exams, testing, and procedures under the guidance of healthcare providers, ensuring that all tasks are performed with the utmost care and professionalism. Your responsibilities will also include managing wound care using sterile techniques, applying dressings, and caring for trauma and burn patients. You will be trained in airway management, which involves oral suctioning, administering oxygen, and using an AMBU bag for ventilation. Additionally, you will be involved in cardiac management, including the application of 12 Lead ECGs, performing CPR, and using an AED for defibrillation. Medication administration will be part of your duties, following the CMD EMT scope of practice. You will also assist with patient follow-ups, answering questions, and reporting test results or changes in medication and therapy.
