Gundersen Health System is seeking part-time Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to join our dedicated Emergency Services and Onalaska Urgent Care teams. As an EMT, you will play a crucial role in saving lives by providing high-quality care to over 65,000 patients of all ages annually. This position requires a high degree of clinical and professional aptitude, as you will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes Providers, RNs, Paramedics, Respiratory Therapists, Health Unit Coordinators, and Social Workers. Our Emergency Services department is a Level II ACS-verified Trauma Center, known for its high-energy, patient-centered environment. We provide 24-hour access to laboratory, X-ray, and surgical services, and we are recognized as a Stroke Center and a Chest Pain Center with 24/7 capabilities. In this role, you will assist in the treatment and care of patients in accordance with established policies and protocols. You will be expected to demonstrate effective communication skills, maintain accurate documentation, and perform technical skills in the care and treatment of patients with multiple injuries. The position offers part-time hours, with a commitment of 40 hours biweekly (0.5 FTE), primarily during mid-shifts (3p-11p) with every other weekend and holiday rotation. Starting pay is competitive, beginning at $17.24/hr, with generous differentials for shifts, weekends, and holidays.
