About the position

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) at Lake Huron Medical Center plays a crucial role in providing emergency medical care and support to patients in need. This full-time position involves working under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians to assess and manage medical, trauma, and environmental emergencies. The EMT is expected to assist with patient care, maintain a safe environment, and adhere to the hospital's high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage medical, trauma, and environmental emergencies under supervision.
• Assist with patient care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Perform duties under the direction of the ED Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Basic EMT Training or E.R. experience required.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Certified/Licensed EMT by the state certifying agency required.
