About the position
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) at Morongo Casino Resort and Spa (MCRS) is responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergency calls, providing initial medical assessment and treatment, and ensuring the activation of the 911 system for appropriate resource dispatch. This role is critical in the first response system of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and involves working 12-hour shifts.
Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls in and around MCRS.
- Locate and assess patients in emergency situations.
- Initiate required treatment for patients.
- Confirm activation of the 911 system to ensure appropriate resources are dispatched.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Current and Valid State of California EMT License.
- Current and Valid American Heart Association (AHA) CPR Certification.
- Basic knowledge of computers and programs including Outlook.
- Ability to maintain strict confidential information.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 150 lbs.
