Gundersen Health System is seeking a part-time Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our dedicated Onalaska Urgent Care team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to over 36,000 patients of all ages annually. The EMT will work in a dynamic department equipped with 20 patient exam rooms, including 13 exam rooms, 4 procedure rooms, 2 consult/discharge rooms, and one Physician in Triage room. As a member of a multidisciplinary team that includes MDs, DOs, PAs, NPs, RNs, EMTs, health unit coordinators, and social workers, the EMT is expected to perform with a high degree of clinical and professional aptitude while assisting in the delivery of patient care. The position is part-time, requiring 60 hours biweekly (0.75 FTE), with shifts typically ranging from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM, 8 AM to 8 PM, 9 AM to 9 PM, or 10:15 AM to 10:15 PM, including every third weekend and holiday. The starting pay is $17.24 per hour and may increase based on experience and applicable shift differentials. The EMT will function collaboratively under the supervision of the RN, performing delegated medical and nursing functions, and assisting in the treatment and care of patients in accordance with established policies and protocols.
