About the position

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) at The Venetian Las Vegas is responsible for providing first-response medical care to guests and Team Members experiencing illness or injury on the property. The EMT plays a crucial role in ensuring safety, documenting incidents, and minimizing liability for the hotel while maintaining a visible security presence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-response medical care for sick or injured guests and Team Members.
  • Document medical incidents thoroughly, minimizing the Company's exposure to liability.
  • Maintain and ensure proper operation of all medical equipment.
  • Identify and resolve unsafe conditions to prevent injuries.
  • Maintain a visible Security presence through constant patrols.
  • Respond to emergencies and participate in mitigation efforts as directed by Security Management.
  • Apprehend and detain individuals involved in criminal activity as directed by Security Management.
  • Write detailed Security reports for incidents that may be used in legal proceedings.
  • Assist with normal Security operations to ensure safety and protection of guests and Team Members.
  • Maintain a professional appearance adhering to Company standards.
  • Provide excellent guest service by addressing questions or concerns.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary certifications (CPR, Nevada Driver's License, etc.).
  • National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians license preferred.
  • Prior work experience in Emergency Medicine or related fields preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both spoken and written.
  • Intermediate computer skills, familiar with Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to write factual, detailed reports.
  • Must exercise discretion and good judgement in duties.
  • Ability to react professionally to emergency situations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with diverse individuals.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice-to-haves

  • National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians license
  • Prior work experience in Emergency Medicine or related fields
