About the position

On Time Ambulance is seeking compassionate and dedicated Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) for both full-time and part-time positions. The role involves providing medical transportation and patient care, driving ambulances, and ensuring the safety and well-being of patients during transport. EMTs will receive extensive training and have opportunities for advancement within the company.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic life support, including patient assessment and airway management.
• Drive ambulances, transporting patients to and from various medical facilities and/or home in both non-emergency and emergency situations.
• Administer oxygen therapy to patients as needed.
• Lift stretchers and secure patients for transport.
• Communicate with patients, caregivers, and family members in a compassionate manner.
• Coordinate with medical facility staff regarding patient care.
• Regularly update dispatchers regarding transportation status and provide critical information.
• Document transportation activities accurately, ensuring all information is recorded.
• Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle and supplies in the ambulance.
• Clean and disinfect equipment between patients.

Requirements

• Valid EMT Certification required.
• BLS CPR certification for healthcare providers required (can be provided by On Time).
• Defensive Driving certification required for drivers.
• Driver's License in good standing required if hired as a driver.
• Ability to lift 150 lbs.

Nice-to-haves
