About the position
The Basic EMT at Parkview Health is responsible for delivering quality pre-hospital care to patients of all ages. This role requires adherence to established care standards and techniques as defined by the Indiana Department of Homeland Security - EMS Division and the Parkview Health EMS Medical Director(s).
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality pre-hospital care to patients of all ages.
- Follow proper techniques and standards of care as established by relevant authorities.
- Assist with lifting patients and equipment as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Meets Indiana State EMT-Basic guidelines and holds a valid state EMT-Basic certification.
- CPR certification required.
- Valid driver's license is necessary.
- One year of experience preferred.
- Must meet insurability requirements under Parkview Health vehicle and liability insurance policies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Must meet the physical requirements of the position.
