About The Position

The Enabling Technologies Clinical Consultant II at Medtronic plays a crucial role in providing clinical, technical, and product knowledge support to customers in the field of Neurosurgery, Navigation, and Robotic Assisted Surgery. This position involves building and maintaining strong customer relationships, delivering training, and ensuring the effective use of Medtronic's technology-enabled procedures. The consultant is responsible for on-site installations, technical assistance during procedures, and maintaining system performance, all while adhering to quality standards and company policies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 6 years of clinical, medical sales or medical imaging/navigation/robotics experience; or an Associate's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience; or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Ability to function using healthcare universal precautions to minimize exposure to infectious disease and radiation.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy.

Nice To Haves

  • RT and/or MRI certification
  • Prior experience with Image Guided Systems
  • Prior experience with MRI Operating room experience

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, support, and collaborate with NRCs and other Enabling Technology team members for on-site installations with customers.
  • Represent Medtronic during technology-enabled procedures to provide technical assistance.
  • Maintain system hardware and software to maximize system performance.
  • Install software and hardware upgrades and perform system preventative maintenance.
  • Provide telephone clinical support to customers and act as the primary Medtronic customer liaison for repair and technical support issues.
  • Educate and train physicians and hospital personnel on technical matters relating to technology-enabled procedures.
  • Participate in in-house sponsored customer training for both internal and external partners.
  • Work with NRCs, Spinal Sales, and NS Reps to identify prospective new users for Navigation and Robotics.
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows as directed.
  • Provide input on new product development based on in-field experience.
