About the position

The End Of Life Asset Manager will oversee the entire lifecycle of IT assets, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and managing vulnerability remediation processes. This role is crucial for maintaining the security and efficiency of the IT infrastructure within a major financial company. The position is a 6-month contract with potential extensions, requiring a mix of onsite and remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of IT assets, including hardware and software, ensuring timely upgrades and replacements according to the end-of-life schedules.
  • Lead the identification, assessment, and remediation of vulnerabilities within the IT infrastructure to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Develop and execute detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budgets, for lifecycle management and vulnerability remediation initiatives.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Ensure all IT assets and remediation activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports to management and other stakeholders.
  • Identify potential risks associated with end-of-life assets and vulnerabilities, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for the procurement and disposal of IT assets, negotiating contracts and ensuring quality service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in IT asset lifecycle management and vulnerability remediation.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity principles, and vulnerability management tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
