Responsibilities
- Perform daily infection prevention and control protocols for handling instruments.
- Maintain an adequate supply of instruments and disposable items to meet facility needs.
- Provide proper transportation of instruments to the processing center and assemble instrument sets.
- Operate state-of-the-art equipment for effective sterilization processes.
- Collaborate on quality assurance to prioritize team safety and patient advocacy.
- Document sterilization indicators and report any issues to management.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certification (CRCST, CSPDT)
- Graduate of Instrument Processor Program with completed externship
- Minimum 1.5 years of Central Sterile Services (CSS) experience
- Demonstrated competency with 80% of trays in assigned areas
- Minimum 1 year of High-Level Disinfection (HLD) experience
- Ability to work as part of a team and take direction.
