About the position

The Endoscopic Repair Technician is responsible for the technical repair and final quality inspection of assigned endoscopic units. This role focuses on meeting monthly repair targets while adhering to safety policies and procedures, ensuring that all repairs meet the manufacturer's specifications before final quality control.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor, major, and overhaul repairs on core G/I (Endoscopic) equipment based on the Inspector's findings.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Assemble and disassemble small highly delicate parts of the endoscope, ensuring the unit meets established specifications.
• Perform final quality inspection on completed repairs to ensure compliance with manufacturer's original specifications.
• Troubleshoot potential problems not originally discovered during the initial inspection.
• Operate required equipment safely, maintaining a clean work area and following established safety rules.
• Follow all work instructions and respond to real situations quickly.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
• Reach monthly targets consistently and meet or exceed deadlines.
• Comply with all applicable U.S. FDA medical device regulatory requirements and ISO 13485 standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalency is required.
• Electronic and/or Mechanical Certification or degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of Endoscopic Repair experience required, or minimum 2 years repair experience working on related medical equipment.
• Electronic and mechanical skills required.
• Solder skills and experience required.
• Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external customers.
• Ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Ability to research and analyze various types of information.
• Ability to prioritize work and read, analyze, and interpret job-related documents.
• Ability to present and speak effectively to employees of the organization.
• Ability to calculate and match figures and amounts.
