The Endoscopic Technician at Providence St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, CA, is responsible for providing support in the Endoscopy Unit. Responsibilities
- Assist with endoscopic procedures under the supervision of the Endoscopy Nurse Manager and RN.
- Clean and disinfect endoscopy equipment and ensure proper room turnover.
- Order and stock necessary supplies for the endoscopy unit.
- Report maintenance needs for equipment to appropriate personnel.
- Perform clerical duties as needed.
Requirements
- National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
- Current Surgical-OR Tech certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred.
- Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER) preferred.
- Experience as a GI/Endoscopy tech or surgical scrub tech is preferred.
