About the position
The Endoscopy Technician at Park Nicollet plays a crucial role in supporting the Endoscopy team by ensuring the cleanliness, disinfection, and maintenance of endoscopic equipment. This position is essential for infection control and maintaining a safe environment in the Endoscopy Department. The technician assists with the ordering and stocking of supplies, as well as supporting the flow of Endoscopy procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Lead Endoscopy Technician.
Responsibilities
- Clean, disinfect, and maintain endoscopic equipment and accessories.
- Assist with ordering and stocking Endoscopy supplies and equipment.
- Support the flow of Endoscopy procedures by assisting with room set-up, patient transfer, and room turnover.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in all areas of the Endoscopy Department.
Requirements
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary for patient safety.
- Ability to work as part of a team, demonstrating patience, mature judgment, sound reasoning skills, and courteous behavior.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous healthcare experience with medical equipment is desirable.
