About the position

The position involves assisting with the coordination of care for patients in the endoscopy department, focusing on the preparation, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment and supplies. The role may also include assisting in performing invasive endoscopic procedures, ensuring a sterile environment, and providing direct and assistive patient care during endoscopic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provides various service-related activities to the delivery of direct and assistive patient care in the endoscopy service of the operating room prior to and during any endoscopic procedure.
• Required to rotate shifts and accept on-call assignments.
• Adept at establishing and maintaining sterile fields.
• Ability to pull cases and assist in endoscopy procedures.
• Knowledge of sterilization concepts and methods, aseptic techniques, and endoscopy instruments.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience working in the Operating Room or Endoscopy Unit preferred.
• GI Tech experience preferred.
• BLS required.
• GI certification from SGNA Associates preferred.
