About the position

The Endpoint Engineer & Systems Analyst Supervisor will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of endpoint systems and IT infrastructure at the Montana Department of Justice. This role focuses on optimizing endpoint performance, enhancing system capabilities, and delivering high-quality technical support while leading a team of engineers and analysts. The supervisor will ensure alignment of endpoint solutions with organizational goals and maintain the security and efficiency of IT operations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, mentor, and lead a team of endpoint engineers and systems analysts.
  • Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of endpoint devices including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Ensure the implementation of endpoint security measures and policies to protect organizational data.
  • Monitor endpoint performance and implement enhancements to optimize user experience.
  • Lead systems analysts' efforts to identify and address technical issues affecting endpoint performance and functionality.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for endpoint systems.
  • Evaluate existing systems and processes, recommending improvements or new solutions as needed.
  • Provide advanced technical support for endpoint-related issues, escalating complex problems as necessary.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of endpoint systems, configurations, and processes.
  • Prepare regular reports on system performance, team activities, and project status for management review.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of endpoint devices, operating systems, and network infrastructure.
  • Proficient in systems analysis methodologies and project management principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or equivalent.
  • Experience with endpoint management and systems analyst applications (e.g., Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, JADU, Livescan, Perceptive Content).
