About the position

The Endpoint Engineering Manager at CACI is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of endpoint services, including scheduling, hiring, performance monitoring, and continual service improvement. This role involves managing a team of endpoint engineers who support workstations and virtual desktop environments for the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). The manager will set expectations for the team, mentor staff, and ensure the effective deployment of next-generation technology to meet mission priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and document policies, practices, and working procedures for supported applications and services.
  • Provide ongoing guidance regarding system usage and training.
  • Participate in new application and service evaluations.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, End User Support, and PMO teams to prioritize and plan project activities.
  • Prepare comprehensive proposals and plans for project completion.
  • Coordinate and manage the design, construction, deployment, and maintenance of operating system images and virtual desktops.
  • Evaluate, select, and effectively use deployment tools and systems.
  • Coordinate with IT groups to ensure systems meet user and client needs.
  • Act as an Analyst/Consultant providing systems integration advice.
  • Assist in the design and development of documentation and training materials.
  • Manage the design and implementation of software deployment packages and scripts.
  • Ensure control and coordination of the release management process for workstations.
  • Conduct periodic audits of workstations for software licensing compliance.

Requirements

  • Ability to attain DHS EOD ITIL V4 Foundations certification.
  • BA + 10 years of experience, MA + 7 years of experience, AA + 14 years of experience, or 18 years of experience.
  • 5 or more years of experience in a technical people management role.
  • 8 or more years of hands-on experience in enterprise IT support.
  • Experience managing engineers with varying skill levels and supporting end users remotely.
  • Ability to provide rapid responses to executive support requests and triage ongoing tickets.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Mobile Device Management application deployment technologies such as MS Intune or Ivanti Mobile Iron.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft M365 and Office 365 stack.
  • Familiarity with standard Microsoft deployment tools and their application in the enterprise.
  • Demonstrated competency in one or more scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, VB script).
  • Effective communicator at all levels, both written and verbal.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Patching and Endpoint Management Solutions (Intune, SCCM, BigFix, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Azure Virtual Desktop or other Virtual Desktop environments (VMWare, Citrix, etc.).
  • Experience with any other scripting languages.
  • Technical certifications by CompTIA or Microsoft.
