About the position

The Energy Auditor and Weatherization Lead position at Ecolibrium3 is designed for individuals interested in energy efficiency and sustainability. This role involves conducting home energy assessments and implementing weatherization techniques to help reduce energy consumption for low-income families. The position offers hands-on training and experience in the field, contributing to community service and environmental sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and apply techniques to conduct comprehensive home energy assessments.
  • Use diagnostic tools to identify areas of energy loss and inefficiency.
  • Gain hands-on experience in weatherization practices such as air sealing and insulation installation.
  • Educate homeowners about energy-saving practices and the benefits of weatherization.
  • Provide guidance and resources to support homeowners' energy efficiency efforts.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Capable of participating in physical labor, including lifting 50 lbs and conducting repetitive motions.
  • Interest in energy efficiency, sustainability, and community service.
  • Basic math skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Some college coursework or vocational training is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
