About the position

The Energy Efficiency Consultant, also known as The Efficiency Architect, is responsible for analyzing, optimizing, and recommending solutions to enhance energy performance across various sectors. This role focuses on reducing energy waste and improving efficiency in buildings, industrial processes, and communities, ultimately helping organizations minimize their energy consumption and environmental impact.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive energy audits for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings to identify areas for energy reduction.
  • Create customized energy efficiency plans that outline steps for improving energy performance, including equipment upgrades and operational changes.
  • Assess and design optimized solutions for HVAC, lighting, and electrical systems to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Use data analysis to monitor energy use patterns and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Stay informed on advancements in energy-efficient technologies and ensure compliance with energy efficiency guidelines.
  • Prepare detailed reports summarizing audit findings and present actionable recommendations to clients.
  • Educate and engage clients on energy conservation best practices and provide ongoing support.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in energy audits, systems optimization, and efficiency strategies.
  • Proficiency in data analysis for energy monitoring, with experience using tools like Excel, MATLAB, or energy management software.
  • Familiarity with energy efficiency standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements such as LEED, ASHRAE, and ENERGY STAR.
  • Experience managing projects from audit through implementation, ensuring successful completion of energy efficiency upgrades.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to clients and create clear reports.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications in energy management or efficiency, such as CEM (Certified Energy Manager) or LEED accreditation.
