About the position

The Energy Efficiency Programs Specialist will support Entergy Texas in managing and enhancing residential energy efficiency programs. This role involves collaboration with internal teams and external contractors to identify energy-saving opportunities, ensure compliance with state regulations, and maintain effective communication regarding program status and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Administer residential energy efficiency programs mandated by the State of Texas and support regulatory filings related to energy efficiency.
  • Partner with Entergy approved contractors and local organizations to identify energy efficiency opportunities within the service area.
  • Identify customer trends through detailed analysis of existing energy efficiency programs.
  • Maintain current information on program status in all relevant databases.
  • Resolve conflicts affecting costs or customer satisfaction and develop appropriate action plans.
  • Coordinate communication of programs to both internal and external customers, ensuring compliance with Corporate Communications requirements.
  • Encourage adherence to safety rules and promote a safe working environment.
  • Communicate professionally with peers, supervision, and customers to maintain a productive environment.
  • Support company initiatives and activities, potentially taking a leadership role in special assignments.
  • Assist in logistics functions related to emergency outage responses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of experience in a customer service environment for Specialist II.
  • 8 years of experience in a customer service environment for Specialist III.
  • 10 years of experience in a customer service environment for Senior Specialist.
  • Experience leading projects or initiatives in energy efficiency and conservation.
  • Strong customer service experience with internal and external customers.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to present to large groups.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and other related software.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime, including during storms or emergencies.
  • Demonstrated history of safe work practices.
  • Ability to learn and apply company policies and procedures.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to engage with the public in a pleasant and tactful manner.
  • Commitment to a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  • Ability to recognize and implement process improvements.
  • Familiarity with Customer Care System (CCS or CIS) and social media applications.
