About the position

The Energy Efficiency Programs Specialist will support Entergy Texas in enhancing and refining residential energy efficiency offerings. This role involves collaboration with internal teams and approved contractors to achieve energy savings targets while ensuring compliance with state regulations. The specialist will analyze customer trends, manage program communications, and lead initiatives related to energy efficiency and conservation.

Responsibilities

  • Administer residential energy efficiency programs mandated by the State of Texas and support regulatory filings related to energy efficiency.
  • Partner with Entergy approved contractors and local organizations to identify energy efficiency opportunities within the service area.
  • Identify customer trends through detailed analysis of existing energy efficiency programs.
  • Maintain current information on program status in all relevant databases.
  • Resolve conflicts affecting costs or customer satisfaction and develop appropriate action plans.
  • Coordinate communication of programs to internal and external customers, ensuring compliance with Corporate Communications requirements.
  • Encourage adherence to safety rules and promote a safe working environment.
  • Communicate professionally with peers, supervision, and customers to maintain productivity and safety.
  • Support company initiatives and activities, potentially taking a leadership role in special assignments.
  • Assist in logistics for emergency outage responses internally and externally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of experience in a customer service environment for Specialist II.
  • 8 years of experience in a customer service environment for Specialist III.
  • 10 years of experience in a customer service environment for Senior Specialist.
  • Leadership experience in energy efficiency or conservation projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to present to large groups.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and other related software.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work overtime, including during storm events.
  • Demonstrated history of safe work practices.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with Customer Care System (CCS or CIS) and/or Agent Information System applications.
  • Comfortable using social media applications.
